Well after all the hard work, the show opened a week ago at the Washington Gallery in Penarth. Our work is very different to each other's, but I think it all adds up to a vibrant and visually interesting mixture. If you're in the area, pop in and let us know what you think. I managed to produce nine new pieces for this show, and I was doing some very long days running up to the installation. It didn't help that the flat roof over the bathroom at Ty Cariad started leaking, so I had to dash up to find a roofer and get it replaced!
Anyway, I've tried photographing the works at the gallery, but the lighting there was not conducive to decent shots of some of my new work. I did manage to get some of the triptych below, which is a meditative set of mixed media paintings/gelatin transfers that I think are rather successful in a melancholy kind of way.

They look much better in the flesh too, and the sky painting in the background of each one is more defined. I'm getting to grips with my large format printer now; we've reached an understanding after a long and arduous early relationship, in which it definitely would have gone out of the window had I been able to lift it!
