I often like the back of an embroidery as much as I like the front!
Still too viral to be doing much and it's raining outside, so doing a post as I can't seem to rouse myself to do anything else. This is going to be a book cover. It's a painting on canvas, with silk that has been free-motion embroidered (The photo of birch in the background is just for illustration purposes). I will use it as the spine covering for one of my books, and I think it will look good against a hessian or knitted hemp cover. I often like the back of an embroidery as much as I like the front!

I've not been here much as I've been curating a book arts exhibition for the Women's Arts Association at Cardiff Central Library and also getting my own work ready for this and two other shows, whilst battling with a viral thing and the usual seasonal affective blues that I get this time of year. I will post some of the new pieces here when I get a moment!
