It's been a profoundly stressful week off work; filled with distraction, and some sobering news. But at least I managed one abstract work. I wasn't sure at first, but it's growing on me.
Terrenaquea
New work in mixed media; mulberry bark, space-dyed tissue, gold leaf, wool fibres, plant inks and oil pastels.
What a lovely image to start my day. Terra qunova is rich and luscious, with whirls and swirls and earthy colours, wonderful textures and pattern.
Love the website Julie and am soooo jealous of your beautiful hide away.
very well done xx
Sorry to hear about the stress, honey. Gorgeous work though. I really love waking up to the piece you did for me. I have recently become obsessed with Octopi and there's something about the painting you did for me that reminds me of tentacles so perfick! Ta for really kind words about the blog too, I was really touched. xxx

love this... esp the lower left ... piece evokes your photos of seaweedy rocks.
Thank you Ger, Tania and Dee. This work has really grown on me, not least of all because your lovely comments help me see it as if through the eyes of others!
